Being a medical doctor I was initially very sceptical of complementary medicine; however, I was recommended to try some when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lizzie Martin suggested Reflexology in order to help my immune system and I am sure it is no coincidence that as a result of my sessions with her, my blood cell count remained astonishingly high throughout my cancer treatment. Lizzie also discussed and provided me with books on nutrition, positive thinking and Bach flowers remedies all of which I tried with great success. I have absolutely no doubt now that Reflexology and Lizzie's general advice helped me immensely throughout my cancer treatment and on the road to recovery. I started going to Lizzie in 2003 after 2 miscarriages. After a year during which my periods were regulated through reflexology, I found out I was pregnant with my first son. I had reflexology throughout the pregnancy and carried on afterwards until I got pregnant with my second son. Again, I had treatment throughout the pregnancy, in particular towards the end with a view to trying to get him to come out as he was far too happy inside! He was eventually born 8 days after his due date without induction and 3 days after my last reflexology session. I now continue to have regular treatments to assist with hormone regulation and general well-being. I thoroughly recommend Lizzie as she always listened to me and specialised in working for, and with the baby throughout my pregnancies.
